Hey there, how’s your summer going? Mine has been great but I’m fried. I’ve been working 16-hour days since March, on Washington Babylon, of course, and on several long-term projects I’m not at liberty to discuss at the moment. So, I’m happy to say that I’m taking a vacation, my first real one since time immemorial or 2015, whichever came last, for a desperately needed recharge.
One stop I’m really excited about is Prague, site of the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich, chief of the Reich Security Main Office, which included the Gestapo and the SD, the latter being the intelligence agency of the SS and the Nazi Party.
Adolf Hitler adored Heydrich and also appointed him Reichsprotektor of Bohemia and Moravia. Heydrich was killed by Jan Kubiš and Jozef Gabčík in Operation Anthropoid, which was plotted by the Czech resistance and greatly aided by Winston Churchill’s British government. Anyway, I’ll be back in two weeks and publication of Washington Babylon will resume on August 23. When we return look for killer stories on how US hedge funds have plundered Puerto Rico with the assistance of the über-sleaze Washington firm of DCI Group, the vilification of undercover reporting and general pathetic state of mainstream journalism, The Grayzone’s secret finances and much more. Including, obviously, the glorious assassination of Reinhard Heydrich.
