Lazy Friday Playlist: If You Hate Holiday Music, Here's The Place To Go

There’s nothing worse than being at a mall this time of year and having to listen to a non-stop stream of Christmas music. It generally works me into a homicidal rage, and perhaps nothing faster than repeated plays of “Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer.” That’s just me, of course. I’m sure you all have your personal holiday song that pushes you very, very close to the deep end.

Anyway, to help you survive the holidays, I’ve put together a short playlist. Enjoy.

The Pogues/Fairytale of New York

Regina Spektor/My Dear Acquaintance

Stand Still/I Saw Daddy Kissing Santa Claus

The Notorious B.I.G./What Did I Want (Ready For Xmas)

The Killers/Don’t Shoot Me Santa

RUN-DMC/Christmas Is

Christmastime/Smashing Pumpkins

Snoop Dogg/Christmas in the Hood

Sufjan Stevens/That Was The Worst Christmas Ever!

Bruce Springsteen/Santa Clause is Comin’ To Town (I’m not much of a Springsteen fan, but Clarence Clemmon’s sax on this is delightful.)

Sugarcult/Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

The Maine/Santa Stole My Girlfriend
