Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho is a collaboration between Travis Scott and Quavo, and was just released two weeks ago. Ralph Steadman, who worked on Hunter S. Thompson’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, designed the cover.

I heard about Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho the way I hear about a lot of new music, from my son (and Washington Babylon‘s great NFL columnist). If not for him and my daughter (who wrote this amazing story for us about #MeToo), who also loves Hip-Hop, I’d probably still be listening exclusively to Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Junior, Dean Martin and other of my childhood favorites. [Note: I hate the Brat Pack and, no, I am not that old.]

Anyway, this is truly a great album. Parts of it are orchestral, and I hope Travis Scott and Quavo record it one day with Dudamel, the great Venezuelan conductor and music director of the Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. That would truly be amazing.

I wasn’t able to find links to a number of the songs but click here for an article about the album which has snippets from each. And you can find it on Spotify. Enjoy.
